Rates
Divorce Mediation costs will be impacted by the complexities of the case, such as real estate, minor children, special needs children, a long-term marriage, income from self-employment or a family business, retirement accounts, personality disorders, substance use, and conflict between the parties. Cases involving complicated legal issues will be referred to an attorney for mediation.
Forensic Psychological Evaluations are typically complicated and labor intensive. The entire evaluation process will take 12 to 15 hours, at a minimum. More complex evaluations can take 20 hours or more. The process typically includes record review, forensic interviews, forensic psychological testing, test scoring, and forensic report writing. This will be discussed at the onset of the case in which you are retaining forensic consultation or assessment.

Policies
Confidentiality
Information obtained from the forensic evaluation will be shared with the client's attorney and possibly the court. Certain laws require that privileged information be disclosed, for example, in situations of suspected child abuse, potential harm to oneself or another, and in instances where the court orders the disclosure of privileged information and records.
Retainer and Payment Policy
Following an initial consultation by phone, forensic evaluations will require a retainer of 20 hours ($7,000). Divorce mediation and/or consultation will require a reduced retainer fee of 10 hours ($3500). If the retainer is exhausted, a follow-up phone consultation will take place for a new time estimate and a renewed retainer.
All retainer payments must be submitted, along with the fee agreement, at least 48 hours before work begins on the case. Unused retainer funds will be returned upon completion of the case. A court order may be used in lieu of a retainer for cases involving the Public Defender or District Attorney.
